Indexing Options

Choosing menu "Index" -> "Indexing Options" or clicking on the button of the main toolbar can open the "Indexing Options" dialog, where you can set up the configurations of the indexer.

File:

Specify the file types and sections in a file to index.

Page:

• Select whether to index sub domains, for example, if you are indexing "http://www.mtopsoft.com", choose this option, the indexer will index the domain "http://test1.mtopsoft.com" and "http://test2.mtopsoft.com", otherwise, it will not index these sub domains.
• Specify web pages to only index
• Specify web pages to not index

Words:

Specify the excluding works from search.

URL:

Specify how to deal with the parameters in the URL address.

Connection:

Specify proxy server, number of crawling threads

Password Manager:

If your web site is password protected with "Basic Authentication", you can set up passwords for your website, and index the password protected web pages.

Links Checker:

When the "Check broken link" is selected in the "Index" dialog, specify whether to verify external links.
